Hamas Worried About Aid Cuts

Hamas is getting worried about "hasty and unjust" cuts in financial aid because of their support for terrorism and attitude towards Israel. Palestinian President Abbas said that the Palestinians "should not be punished for their democratic choice."

1) If a cut in U.S. aid is going to hurt Palestinians, then it must mean U.S. aid contributions are very important in helping and improving their lives - maybe the U.S. will finally get some credit for our contributions. (Unlikely of course, since anti-US folks view it as a right rather than a priviledge.)

2) I can't think a better way to teach Palestinians that elections have consequences. If they really care that much about their international aid, next election they might choose different leaders.
